About

Hi! My name is Jennifer, and I’m so glad that you have stopped by my blog!  I hope you find it encouraging and helpful for your own journey.  I am a Jesus follower who is learning to embrace “not knowing” all of the answers.  I come from a Southern Baptist background, but over the past year have been deconstructing these beliefs and have found myself amongst a beautiful group of Episcopalians, where God is teaching me who He is and who I am to Him.  I am recovering from major depressive disorder, anorexia and self-injury, in addition to traversing some personal family trials.   This blog is my space to write about my faith and recovery journey with God, but I share it here to encourage others who may find themselves along similar paths, and feel discouraged or alone. I pray that this can become a place of refuge and encouragement.  I welcome your comments and thoughts, although I want this to remain a positive and safe space both for me and my readers, so please keep that in mind when you comment.

Other random details about me: I am 35 years old and married, with a son and a daughter.  Aside from my love of God, I love writing (obviously), meditating, psychology and being out in nature, especially with trees and stars.

Peace be with you!
